In the chic Tunsgate Quarter, this “vibey” pan-Asian has set local tongues wagging since its spring 2022 opening; it’s a “fun place to visit” – the Ivy Asias being even more flamboyant than Richard Caring’s other (brasserie) spin-off chain – and the eclectic mix of Japanese and Chinese inspired dishes is ably abetted by “super serving staff who greet you like their favourite customers”.

Its “enviable position” in the Tunsgate Quarter, a stone’s throw from Guildford cathedral, and the “lack of other decent options locally” helped generate a “stampede” amongst locals to visit this glossy new venue (with trademark illuminated floors) from Richard Caring’s slick pan-Asian spin-off brand when it opened last year. The “fabulously presented sushi” and “lovely atmosphere” won early praise, but there is the odd query regarding the “chunky” prices.
