Summary
“Birmingham re-imagined!” – “the views are fabulous from this restaurant in the sky” which was opened three years ago by The Evolv Group on the 24th floor of Brum’s tallest office building. Prices do probably fully reflect the location, but it escapes the mixed feedback that others in the group often attract, winning decent all-round ratings as a “great rooftop restaurant” with superb styling that, so long as you accept the bill that entails, does a good job of providing a celebratory if not an especially foodie experience. BREAKING NEWS: in late-October 2025, Evolv rebranded the restaurant as 24 Stories.
Summary
“Worth a visit for the wonderful setting”, with “views across Birmingham with the West Midlands in the distance”: this slick two-year-old from business-dining specialists D&D London, on the 24th floor of Birmingham’s tallest office building, offers “good French-style dishes with excellent, polite service delivered by smartly dressed front of house staff”. It’s “frequently busy, if perhaps a little too noisy at times”. Foodwise, it escapes the harsh criticisms sometimes levelled at the group’s properties, with ratings that are fair to middling.
Summary
A “stunning location” (and suitability for business dining) are undisputed attractions of this year-old newcomer from D&D London, whose huge windows offer a bird’s eye view of Brum from the 24th floor of the city’s tallest office building. All reports are fundamentally positive regarding the modern brasserie cuisine (top slot on the menu is côte de boeuf or châteaubriand to share) if with the caveat that the odd dish is “rather ordinary”.

For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
