London East Dulwich Restaurant Guide

This “real local favourite” in East Dulwich from Rod Franklin and Tim Sheehan has served seasonal British cooking for more than 25 years, and is “famed for its Sunday roasts for carnivores” (but there’s more to it than meat, and “the varied menu always has an excellent selection of veggie/vegan dishes”). To the odd sceptic, it’s “OK, but really no more than that”.

“Reliable sushi and excellent cocktails” remain hallmarks of this East Dulwich neighbourhood spot – a spinoff from Clapham’s Tsunami.

2023 Review: “This great local pub” in Dulwich excels for its “simple food – especially the pies”. “It’s always a big surprise to me that the Lordship isn’t in Harden’s. It’s a huge room with lots of outdoor space, and very friendly, welcoming staff”.

“A really fun place (not fancy at all) – nice, simple Greek food, but done with panache and a smile”: Evi Peroulaki and Conor Mills moved on from Pop Brixton (where they traded as Souvlaki Street) to this neighbourhood spot in East Dulwich. Our early feedback is upbeat, and in his September 2023 review, The Evening Standard’s Jimi Famurewa praised “a special little place”, where dishes “knock you over with their culinary acuity, gushing succulence and punching, vibrant freshness”.
