* Based on a three course dinner, half a bottle of wine, coffee, cover charge, service and VAT.

A pleasant, courtyard bistro (est. 2012) turning out non-pretentious grub, and now working with local suppliers to grow more exotic Far Eastern vegetables (they also run ‘Street Food Sundays’ in summer). The building perhaps shows a bit of the strain of having operated as a restaurant for 50 years, but it’s still a “cheap ’n’ cheerful” beacon in these parts.

Cheerful, modern “bistro-style” venue that’s a local favourite, serving cakes and salads from the counter, as well as a menu of more ambitious fare. It’s five years old in its current guise, but there’s been a restaurant on the site for the last fifty years.

“Woodbridge’s favourite meeting place” – this “buzzy” venue complete with courtyard garden is “the best in the area by far”, with a “consistently high standard of cooking, and ever-helpful staff”.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
