The Mole Inn Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Lovely old pub in a tiny village near Oxford - nicely designed garden, and the inside is well decorated preserving original features. Even on a Sunday lunch, there was enough choice - as well as nicely-cooked roasts, good fish dishes, nibbles to share. Relaxed, but busy - booking advised."
"The Mole Inn has been one of my favourite establishments for over 15 years now a beautiful country gastro pub hidden away in the Oxfordshire countryside. Perfect for Sunday lunch after a long walk or a mid week treat with family and friends. The food and service are impeccable and it never lets me down - I can 100% recommend to anyone looking for fine dining, in a gorgeous surroundings"
"I visited The Mole Inn recently with family and friends and had a great Sunday lunch, the venue is attractive and tastefully decorated, the fire was roaring which was lovely and cosy when we first arrived. We were greeted by friendly staff, and looked after very well throughout our visit. The Sunday roast was cooked to perfection, desserts delightful, I had a delicious chocolate parfait beautifully presented on the plate, the pavlova was also delicious, we were well looked after and will definitely come back soon."
"This beautiful countryside pub is tucked away in the idillic Oxfordshire countryside, set in a grade II listed building, tastefully decorated with the most amazing gardens that you can hide away in. The restaurant is cosy, informal and really rather lovely, staff are attentive and friendly and the food is always good quality and tasty, the wine list and ales are wellm selected, you can’t really go wrong, great for romance, family and also business lunches and party gatherings, I advise you to give it a try you won’t be disappointed."
"This gastropub, tucked away in an isolated village but close to Oxford, has a lovely garden. But sadly, the hot weather was over so we ate inside (which is pleasant). Starter of grilled mackerel on toast with pepper and tomato relish was good, and so was shredded duck and pork belly with rocket salad (portion surprisingly large, almost too large). Roasted lamb rump with roasted garlic mash was very good, the lamb rare and with a slightly smoky taste. Grilled halloumi in a butternut squash salad with various other ingredients was both interesting and nice. California zinfandel wine was ok, though served perhaps a bit too warm. Double espressos good, and the bill arrived with the Mole's customary jelly beans. Service cheerful and efficient."
