Summary
Sweeping sea-views accompany a visit to this svelte-looking, modern coastal venue overlooking Coppet Hall beach. Part of the Seren Collection, it formerly traded as Coast (RIP) before a re-launch in 2024 with a more ‘inclusive’ style of menu prepared by chef Gerwyn Jones, with input from Hywel Griffith (known for Beach House, see also). Perhaps because of its more everyday style (featuring the likes of Pembrokeshire steaks, burgers – lamb or tuna – bao buns, BBQ tofu, fish of the day…) it inspired little feedback this year. On the striking site that was Coast (RIP), the Seren Collection reformatted this dramatic beachside location in June 2024 in a more ‘accessible’ format. Hywel Griffith (of the group’s Beach House in Oxwich) and Gerwyn Jones (former head chef at the Grove of Narberth) moved away from the fine-dining tasting menus that Coast was known for to offer a formula ‘designed to be shared, sipped and savoured… by friends and family… in a relaxed and welcoming setting — all against the backdrop of the restaurant’s incredible view over Coppet Hall Beach’. Reports please!
