Featured Pembrokeshire Restaurants
1. The Shed Fish & seafood restaurant in Porthgain
“Set in a gorgeous spot looking out over the harbour in a surprisingly unspoilt village” – this “small bistro” is one of the better options for a meal in striking distance of St Davids: you get “sophisticated dishes of fresh-from-the-sea fish, plus friendly staff and a quaint ambience”. Fish ’n’ chips, here, are also some of the best: “melt in the mouth, crispy, light batter with the freshest of fish”.
2. Blas Restaurant, Twr y Felin Hotel British, Modern restaurant in St Davids
Blas Restaurant is located at Wales' first contemporary art hotel, Twr y Felin, in St Davids, Pembrokeshire. Meaning ‘Taste’ in Welsh – Blas offers a menu influenced by the season and locality, with dishes designed to reflect Wales and its produce. From fresh...
3. Coast British, Modern restaurant in Saundersfoot Coppet Hall Beach - SA69
You get “impressive views whilst enjoying great seafood” at this “light and airy”, timber-clad venue, which has a “beautiful setting” right on the sands. Chef Tom Hine’s cooking is excellent, be it from the à la carte or fancier five-course tasting menu for £59 (which must be taken by the whole table). “Great with kids too (there’s a kids’ menu) whilst serving exceptional food with an amazing view”.
4. The Fernery, Grove of Narberth British, Modern restaurant in Dyfed Molleston - SA67
“Imaginative and well-presented food” from “inventive taster menus” in “a wonderful setting” – dining at this lavishly restored 17th-century mansion overlooking the Preseli Hills is “an amazing experience from start to finish”. Neil and Zoe Kedward, who rescued the property from dereliction a dozen years ago, also own Coast at Saundersfoot and the Beach House on the Gower.
5. The Salt Cellar British, Modern restaurant in Tenby The Esplanade - SA70
Lovely views of the town’s amazing beach and an outside terrace are obvious attractions of this three-year-old bar and dining room on the sea front; but its shortish menu of modernised but, at heart, fairly traditional fare is consistently highly rated.
