An “idyllic setting” with “fab views over Porthleven harbour” elevates a visit to Kota’s “very child-friendly” and “relaxed” sibling (both run by Great British Menu chef Jude Kereama); particular shout-outs for the “tasty burgers and steak with an Asian twist”.

This more “relaxed”, café-style spin-off overlooking the harbour (with front lawn for dining out in good weather) also boasts “cheerful” service and funky Asian-influenced dishes. “It’s not absolutely as good as Kota but well worth going to if Kota is full” (and a children’s room here makes it the more kid-friendly option).

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
