For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Outstanding cooking at this small restaurant opposite the church. Wet Wednesday evening in December isn’t going to bring the crowds out - so the dining room lacked any buzz. But enjoyable meal and very reasonably priced. Would definitely return. "

"A delightful all-round experience, delicious food, including vegetarian, efficient service and carefully curated, fairly priced range of wines. A restaurant that draws one back for more. Long may it last! "
