Owner's description

The Old Mill Bistro is a small, informal bistro set within a 16th Century former corn mill. This family run team ensure a relaxing time is had by all and are more than willing to go the extra mile to enusure everyone is catered for. With a focus on local sourcing, the menu varies dependant on availability and whats in season.

The Bistro seats 24 people over only one sitting, meaning the table is yours for the duration of the evening.

We have an extensive wines & drinks list, again with a heavy focus on local breweries, distelleries and vineyards.

In a 16th century former corn mill (replete with waterwheel), a family-run B&B and bistro where chef “Adrian Oliver continues to cook really well”“not in cheffy show-off style”, but “simply” and “based on good quality ingredients”.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
