Harden's survey result
Opened in 1982, this “lovely”, family-run venture has a quirky location – an old railway station in the countryside. Feedback remains a little mixed however: even those reporting an essentially good experience can find the cooking “unexciting” or “expensive for what it is”.
Very up-and-down feedback on this “quirky restaurant” in an old Victorian train station in the rolling countryside. Even a fan who cited it as a “reliable and pleasant experience” cautioned that the cooking “rarely rises to good and hardly ever to exceptional”, and a couple of former fans related dismal experiences here this year.
“At a former Victorian railway station in the rolling Nottinghamshire countryside”, this unusually located restaurant “never disappoints with its good tasty food” (including “superb afternoon teas”).
“The good quality standard has not changed” at this “very popular family restaurant”, located in a restored Victorian railway station.
