Harden's survey result
“On the coast road through Jesmond not far out of Newcastle’s centre”, and hiding behind a “shop-front style façade that doesn’t really do it justice”, Nick Grieve’s bistro proves to be a “cosy” and “romantic” spot, with “lots of care taken to source and present quite excellent dishes”. “Brilliant Sunday lunch” too – “hooray!”
“Simplicity disguises outstanding cooking” at Nick Grieve’s stylish modern bistro in Jesmond, where the menu is pretty short and to the point, but brilliantly well-realised.
“A wonderful addition to the Newcastle foodie scene!” Chef-patron Nick Grieves (previously of The River Café and Fera at Claridge’s) brought his skills to leafy Jesmond, in late-2016 with this bistro named after his grandmother; “interesting” cuisine and a “stylish” setting – “we loved it!”
