Harden's survey result
Summary
The soaring windows and high ceilings of this revamped hall make a “great setting” for a bite at the opera – “and you get somewhere to sit in the interval!”. Yes, it is “expensive” and the menu options are “rather limited”, but it does the job.
Summary
After the revamp of the Royal Opera House at the turn of the 21st century, this “lovely”, light-filled space was one of the highlights of its reopening. A “good choice for something to eat before a performance” – it’s certainly “not cheap” but of decent quality for an arts-venue restaurant, and it’s always a “great place to people-watch”.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
