Harden's survey result
Summary
“A great addition to the Sloane Square area” – Jason & Irha Atherton’s new “oasis” at the south of chichi Pavilion Road (named for their three darling daughters) has successfully created a casual haunt for the well-heeled locals, and “the buzz is 10/10”. It’s particularly suited to a posey brunch, with “fantastic croissants and coffee and a good choice of small plates”. Viewed as an exercise in the gastronomy that’s made Atherton’s reputation, the grills and other comfort food bites (like wagyu sausage roll or skate wing schnitzel) are no better than ‘fine’, especially at these SW1 prices; but for the local market – ‘mission accomplished’. Top Tip – “very nice patio seating” in warmer weather.

For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Three Darlings Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Friendly service although they could rein back on encouraging you to trade up on wine. The food was fine. Reliance on grills for main courses "
"We sat at a table with an elevated view of the kitchen. There was an irritatingly persistent cocktail waiter. No expense has apparently been spared on the smart loos and their staircase. Two beef ribs were well cooked. I wasn't so keen on the KFC-like spatchcock chicken legs. An OK meal: £160 for two, including four glasses of some of their cheaper wine. "
