Harden's says
This Uruguayan-inspired grill specialist brings a new take on chicken and steak cooking to the Arcade foodhall in the old Battersea Power Station. Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng, the chef couple behind the long-running East-meets-West project TATA Eatery, want to create the atmosphere of informal joints in Montevideo's old market place.
Harden's survey result
Summary
“Firmly in the affordable category and a go-to for a casual lunch or dinner that won’t break the bank” – this two-year-old in Battersea Power Station’s Arcade food hall takes its cues from Montevideo’s lively old-town market and is inspired by the ‘parilla’ grill traditions of Iberia and South America. “I have never not been impressed by the value of its very simple food offering: essentially steak or chicken and chips with a tomato salad, for about £20”. Top Menu Tip – “love the Solis steak sauce”.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
