September 2020 message on the Rochelle ICA website:
Dear Customers
We are incredibly sad to have to let you know that Rochelle Canteen will not be returning to The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) when they reopen. After nearly three happy and exciting years there we are heartbroken to have to take this step. We thank The ICA so much for having given us the opportunity and it's been great to work with them and all their team. We wish them good luck for the future in this tricky time. We also want to thank all the great people who've worked with us there and helped make the bar and restaurant what it was. And we thank you too, our customers, for all your support, and the fun it's been having you there. We hope to continue to see you at Rochelle Canteen in Shoreditch.

Summary
“Margot and Melanie, we love you and your earthbound but fine cooking: gutsy, simple and defiantly based on flavour!”. This “bright, if utilitarian, space looking out onto The Mall” is a takeover of a longstanding arts centre café, near Admiralty Arch; a year-old spin-off from Melanie Arnold and Margot Henderson’s quirky Spitalfields original: “the seasonal-and-often-unusual ingredients married to straightforward, accurate cooking have transferred successfully from the hipsterland of the East End”. “Wines are also good and unusual” (although one or two reporters consider them “toppy pricewise for this kind of set-up”).
