“As the years have gone by”, this “enjoyable and efficient” Pimlico stalwart, “on a quiet street behind Westminster Cathedral”, has won a very loyal following thanks to its “family-style atmosphere, lovely service, and well-chosen wines”. Some reports say the food is a little “basic” or “variable”, but most accounts describe it as “authentic” and “affordable”.

“Continuing to enchant…” – this “wonderful Italian” is “a jolly place, really hidden away in Pimlico, but with a very local feel to it as it’s off-the-beaten-track”. Staff are “exceptionally friendly” and “the food is good and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg” (“after a hiccough in recent times, it’s had a definite return to form”). “And they adore kids… it’s very Italian”.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
