“Fantastic food + great wine list + super-friendly people + brilliant music = cool vibes!” – this new restaurant and wine bar near Peckham Rye station (baby bro’ to Salon in Brixton) has cracked the formula for winning fans from SE15 and beyond: a “casual-yet-special” operation, it can become “extremely busy” and “crowded”. Its “incredible” small plates are a foil to the “very good wine list” and arguably a form of “wildly indulgent nursery food”, but are so “creative and fun” and with “flavours that sing!”
An all-day (from breakfast) restaurant and wine bar in Peckham opening in October 2018, from the team behind Brixton’s Salon, featuring an offbeat wine selection and contemporary European cuisine in a casual bistro style.
Levan Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Nice and lots of vegetables. The wine list was sadly populated with many natural wines. After being assured one option was NOT natural, we ordered a carafe. It was natural, but when informed of this staff didn’t offer to swap it out. As a result we drank cider wine through gritted teeth and grimaces. Good dishes were: pea pasta, squid, burrata, aubergine, tempura. So-so the vacherin pie & comte fries, not delicious the tomato and strawberries. "
