Harden's says

All-day Peckham bar and dining space with a strong ‘natural’ wine focus, serving contemporary European cuisine, inspired by the ‘bistronomy’ movement.

“Innovative cooking, good cocktails and a relaxed, cool setting” draw the “young hip crowd” to this “small Peckham restaurant” from the team behind Salon in Brixton (RIP). All reports remain fundamentally upbeat, but a variety of gripes and some dishes “not quite hitting the mark” took its rating lower this year.

“Sublime” and “innovative contemporary cuisine” makes this Peckham two-year-old the sort of place you “happily return to again and again” – and you won’t get bored because “the menu constantly changes, reflecting seasonal fare”. “Our group literally tried everything and there wasn’t one disappointing dish”. The “enjoyable” atmosphere is “nice and buzzy” but “are they as cool as they think they are!?”. (The team behind Levan cut their teeth with Salon in Brixton, see also.)

“Fantastic food + great wine list + super-friendly people + brilliant music = cool vibes!” – this new restaurant and wine bar near Peckham Rye station (baby bro’ to Salon in Brixton) has cracked the formula for winning fans from SE15 and beyond: a “casual-yet-special” operation, it can become “extremely busy” and “crowded”. Its “incredible” small plates are a foil to the “very good wine list” and arguably a form of “wildly indulgent nursery food”, but are so “creative and fun” and with “flavours that sing!”

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Remains my favourite place to eat. Constantly changing creative and inventive modern British restaurant. Service is friendly and helpful and I always feel that they have enjoyed having us as guests. Wine list can err n being a tad overpriced, but that’s the only criticism I can find."
