A “limited seasonal menu knocks it out of the park” at this “star neighbourhood restaurant” in Peckham (named after Pellegrino Artusi, the 19th-century ‘godfather of Italian cuisine’). There’s a “laid-back, hipster” vibe, while the “simple and cheap ingredients are well chosen and delivered at a compelling price”.
An excellent “cheap ’n’ cheerful choice” – this “small neighbourhood place in gentrified Peckham” has won more-than-local renown for its “wonderful modern Italian food, executed with style and elegance”. There’s a “very good if limited menu (three choices each of starter, main and pudding)” and “lovely staff who are attentive in the right way”.
This three-year-old, “heart-of-Peckham gem” offers “consistently good Italian cooking with vivid flavours in even the simplest dishes”; and its “good value” makes it “very popular with local hipsters”. (There’s now also a Deptford spin-off too called Marcella.)
“The menus are short, the food excellent” at this two-year-old Italian, seemingly “home-from-home for Peckham hipsters: last time I dined there, twice as many men had beards as were clean-shaven!”
