Vapiano has confirmed that it will double its London presence to six sites during 2018, following on from the group's successful launch in Glasgow. This Tower Bridge opening is the first site (others in the pipeline include Centre Point on Tottenham Court Road and Canary Wharf).

“Love the concept but it can be a scrum at the counters!” This global Italian fast-food franchise, (founded in Hamburg, with UK branches in Soho, Southwark and Fitzrovia) offers a food court format with salads, pizza or pasta prepared in front of you. It can be a bit of a bun-fight, but it’s cheap, and “the food quality is generally good”.
“For a quick bite at a reasonable price” – pizza, pasta, salads, etc – try this offbeat German-owned food-court concept, in the West End and also Bankside – you serve yourself, but the system of ordering food that’s “freshly prepared in front of you to order” gets the thumbs-up.
This (German-owned) Mediterranean self-serve canteen concept may be “a bit odd”… but most reporters find it “very useful” for “a quick, easy and tasty meal”; now in Soho too.
