Harden's survey result
Summary
The dead cute location, off Hampstead High Street, and trattoria interior – with a “nice and old-fashioned feel” – has changed little in three decades at this enduring Italian. Some reporters are mightily impressed by the “delicious” traditional fare; for others it’s only average, with other gripes including “noise levels that make meaningful conversation difficult” or slightly “attitude-y” service.
Summary
This “very traditional Italian” in a prime Hampstead spot “hasn’t changed much (except the prices)” for the past three decades. Its enviable location, tucked away off the main drag, explains much of its appeal, as does a “formal but un-snooty” style that’s not to all tastes, but helps attract “lots of buzz (and some celebs!)”. Some fans applaud the fare as “well-cooked in generous portions”, others say it’s merely “fair”.

Summary
“Old-style Italian” whose popularity is underpinned by its gorgeous central Hampstead location and comfortable, retro decor. Fans acclaim it as a “top-end” destination of some accomplishment: those with less rose-tinted glasses say “it’s a nice place to sit, but with overpriced and variable food that’s no better than a tourist venue in Italy itself”.
For 31 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Villa Bianca Restaurant Diner Reviews

"Made the mistake of going again, despite my previous review, as it is the only restaurant my parents can walk to. Had booked a corner table as was with two slightly deaf parents but that had been given away and had to sit in the noisier middle. Cold soup. Inedible chop; a complaint was “referred to the chef” but there was no follow-up. A disgrace. Not sure how it survives."
