Summary

Only Jamie O’s celebrity justifies the continued inclusion of this obscure Hoxton venture – in its 2002 heyday the UK’s most famous restaurant by dint of the TV series of the same name. Nowadays, its once-cutting-edge Hoxton location should put it on the hipster roadmap, yet it inspires few reports, and such as do crop up continue a perennially lacklustre theme regarding its Italian fare and service. (It is a non-profit organisation, but since 2016 no longer trains the cohorts of youngsters that won it fame, although some do pass through its kitchens as part of a nationwide scheme).

Summary

If it were not for Jamie Oliver’s celebrity, it would be hard to justify a listing nowadays for this once-famous Hoxton Italian, which seems increasingly ignored by reporters, and which continues to inspire deeply mixed opinions.

Summary

The project which helped Jamie Oliver establish his meeja career: this Hoxton Italian continues to divide reporters (although above all else they ignore it – for all the hype it remains well off London’s ‘foodie map’). Fans do applaud its “delicious dishes, buzzing atmosphere and great gin list”, but as ever a significant proportion dismiss it as average-to-poor across the board.

Summary

“What is all the fuss about?”; Jamie Oliver’s Hoxton Italian continues – as it always has done – to provide “a totally overrated experience with terrible food”, and at prices that are plain “rude”.

Our kitchen

Our menus are built on seasonality and innovation, turning nostalgic flavours into something entirely new. The results are globally inspired, yet inherently British dishes – the kind of food Jamie and Robbin like to eat when they’re at their happiest.

Join us for lunch or dinner and tuck into delicious dishes, from our Dorset crab with parsley root remoulade, Granny Smith apple and dill, to our famous Short rib with burnt celeriac and smoked bone marrow. Our incredible desserts are all hand made by our talented pastry team – think Organic chocolate mousse with hazelnut ice cream and salted maple caramel.

 Our bar

Our buzzing and welcoming bar is perfect for an after-work cocktail or relaxed party with nibbles. Pop in with colleagues or friends and enjoy hand-crafted cocktails, incredible wines and local beers and ciders, or choose from our range of over 70 local and international gins..

Our food-inspired cocktail menu expresses humble, honest flavours using timeless culinary techniques. Try the Be sure to ask our staff about the story behind each exciting drink.

For a new drinks experience, try our gin masterclass – join our resident gin expert, J Rivera, on a journey through the rich history of gin and its many styles and flavours.
