A third branch for Gordon Ker's popular chop-house mini-chain, this time in Old Street, in the former Rivington Grill space (RIP); it is the biggest Blacklock restaurant yet, with space for a bar (with dedicated bar snacks menu).

“Simply mouthwatering plates” of “succulent and well-seasoned chops” reward a trip to these “fun” haunts, which in September 2018 added a Shoreditch branch to initial ventures in Soho and the City. It’s a case of “simple food but done extremely well” and “if you like meat, this is a good place to share lots of it with friends, and at a very good price too”. “OK, so I was sceptical: yet another beards and tatts place, I thought – but the quality is such that I (and my meat-loving wife) discuss little else but when to go next!”
“My inner caveman loves this place!” – “Chops, crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle” provide “amazing meat and amazing value” at this “laid back and very cool”, “no frills” Soho basement, which is “a case study of picking something you’re good at and sticking with it”. In Spring 2017 it opened its second branch – a larger City outlet off Eastcheap. Top Tip – “the amount of food on the ‘All In’ has to be seen to be believed!”
