“The views are just to die for” at the West Tower’s 34th floor restaurant – a “great place to bring people”, particularly if you opt for the afternoon tea – but it’s no one-trick pony, and also pumps out some “gorgeous”, more serious cooking. Even the least enthusiastic report (which finds it “overpriced and way too pretentious”) says “it has the most amazing setting, and the food’s good”.
“On the 34th floor of West Tower, right in the heart of Liverpool – the 360 degree vista over the city’s waterfront here is simply quite stunning!” It’s “a treat on many levels”, though, generally confounding those cynical about rooms with a view, with its “amazing food” and “sharp and efficient service”. Top tip: try it for afternoon tea.
“Breathtaking views over the River Mersey, the Royal Liver building plus many other landmarks” ensure that this 34th-floor operation is “perfect for a special occasion”, and – though prices are not bargain basement – the venue was consistently well-rated this year for its “nothing-is-too-much-trouble” service and dependable cuisine. Afternoon tea here is another option and “always superb”.
“Obviously the views are an important part of the overall experience” at this 34th-floor venue, but the food gains respectable feedback too; service has been up-and-down in the past, but more than one reporter now finds it “superb”. Top Tip – afternoon tea here has a “certain sense of occasion”.
