Liverpool 'neo bistro' offering sustainable and seasonal all-day food, with coffee for daytime and cocktails for evenings.
Harden's survey result
A “great small spot in resurgent Smithdown Road”, which opened in December 2017, and combines “good-quality small plates, and an excellent list of wines from small independent producers, with a sommelier who knows his stuff”. “Lovely atmosphere”, too – “only issue is that it can be crowded” so you’ll “need to book”.
No survey feedback yet, but some in the press (notably The Guardian’s Grace Dent) have waxed lyrical regarding this December 2017 opening – the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign – serving fairly funky fare in a busy modern bistro environment.
Belzan Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Very good and interesting small plates in a small, bustling utterly unpompous restaurant. Terrific staff - friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgable about the menu and the excellent wine list which includes several natural wines from small suppliers. Pulls off the trick of feeling like a local whilst also being worth a journey."
