“Situated by an airfield”, this Art Deco haunt (an erstwhile club house and officers’ mess) “has an air of class that carries through to the brasserie from the romantically lit hotel lobby” next door. “Sublime cocktails” are its forte, but the “very reasonably priced” grub can prove “tasty” too (“it’s not haute cuisine but if in the area I’d definitely go back”).
“In a culinary desert”, this mid-century hotel-brasserie “has style and a spectacular location on the edge of the airfield”; while “possibly aimed at the business community”, the food is “great” and the “cocktails are sublime” (particularly when taken in the glam Sky Bar). “worth checking out If flying in… or just in the area”.
Solid marks this year for the sophisticated, mid-century-style brasserie of this trendy hotel overlooking Farnborough Airport; “the menu is always interesting and varied”, and the “cocktails are sublime” – whether taken in the dining room or glamorous Sky Bar.
A slick hotel which is “aping London food standards” with its “delicious” dishes (although the service can be “below par”); “the sky bar is well worth a visit” beforehand.
