Harden's says
In Pontcanna, taking over former site of Bully's almost opposite Heaneys, a 'nose-to-tail' Italian restaurant from chefs Tommy Heaney and Dave Killick (formerly of the Heathcok in Llandaff). Expect a seasonal menu and hand-made pasta.
Harden's survey result
Summary
On a Pontcanna site that was for many years Bully’s (and briefly No. 5), this late 2024 debut is run by Tommy Heaney of nearby Heaney’s and Uisce and Dave Killick, previously of the Heathcock in Llandaff. We have no feedback as yet on its mix of modern British (often Italian or Med-inflected) small and large plates but reviews in the local press are upbeat.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
