“Amazed more people aren’t raving about this place…” – Jamie Randall and Olivia Barry have run this conventional-seeming but ambitious venue in Queen’s Quay for nearly 10 years now. It perennially inspires quite limited feedback in our annual diners’ poll, but such as there is says its 12-course tasting menu for £80 per person is “very reasonably priced, creatively presented and very good”.

Olivia Barry and Jamie Randall opened this straightforward-looking but ambitious venue in Queen’s Quay in 2015, building on their experience in top London restaurants such as Odette’s and Murano. A nine-course tasting menu is £70 per person (with matching wine flight for £60). Too limited feedback this year for a rating, but such as we have applauds “a great treat with welcoming service, lovely food and some interesting wines”.

“A small restaurant serving glorious tasting menus” from chefs Jamie Randall and Olivia Barry, who set up shop in Bristol in this “pretty simple” venue near the Docks eight years ago after stints in some of London’s top kitchens (Galvin Brothers, Angela Hartnett). They work hard to keep things interesting, and a number of reports note the “top-notch wine flights”.

“An extensive tasting menu with amazing flavours” awaits diners at this understated, bare-walls-and-stripped-wood venue near the docks. Adventurous chefs Jamie Randall and locally born Olivia Barry both worked for some top London chefs (Galvin Brothers and Angela Harnett among others) before setting up on their own account in more laid-back Bristol.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
