“More ‘pubby’ than The Gingerman” – the namesake group’s original site and flagship, opened in 1998 – “but more relaxing” too, this dog-friendly Kemptown spot is a solid performer which “cannot be beaten for family get-togethers”; the newest ginger, The Flint House, mixing tapas, cocktails and a roof terrace, opened in central Brighton in spring 2019.
The canine-friendly (hence the name) Kemptown outpost of the local Gingerman Group continues to win solid all-round ratings; a new Ginger link, tapas bar ‘Flint House’, is set to open in the newest Lane – the upcoming Hannington Estate – in January 2019.
This laid-back Kemptown link in the local Gingerman chain is “simply one of the best places to let a lunch drift on through the afternoon”, and equally “lovely for a private celebration”.
“One of the ‘Ginger’(man) family in Brighton” – this time in Kemptown, and with a “more relaxed gastropub atmosphere”; feedback included nothing but praise this year for its “excellent value” grub.
