Harden's survey result
“Fresh and flavoursome fish” combine with “stunning sea views over the Solent to the Isle of Wight” at this “friendly” operation with a “lovely terrace” for al fresco meals. Chef Karl Wiggins took over in early 2018 from Pierre Chevillard, who had run the kitchen for more than a decade, and by all accounts the place “has kept up its very high standards”. Eating here is a pleasure “that’s not diminished by repeated visits”.
“A stupendous backdrop” – “there are stunning views from the Isle of Wight to the Purbecks” both from the superb terrance and the interior – is matched by “amazing seafood” (“straightforward” but “staggering”) at Pierre Chevillard’s stalwart restaurant with rooms, where “you are made to feel very welcome”. “What better place for lunch on a summer’s day?”
“Seafood, soufflées par excellence, and sea views” are all attractions at Pierre Chevillard’s “tried and trusted” clifftop fish restaurant, offering a “wonderful view of the Isle of Wight from the windows overlooking the water” (as well as from the outside patio).
Pierre Chevillard’s “beautifully located cliff top restaurant enjoys lovely views over Bournemouth and Poole Bay, the Isle of Wight and the Needles” (“especially from the garden terrace”), and it serves “sublime local seafood with typically Gallic flair!” (“Lovely accommodation also”.)
Pebble Beach Restaurant Diner Reviews
"We were (unusually) slightly disappointed with the meal we had at Pebble Beach last year but we went again this year to a Lobster and strawberry event and were delighted in every way. In our view, the restaurant has entirely regained its previous standards!"
"This is the first time we have eaten here for a while but whilst service was still first rate and whilst most items remained good, we felt that neither the twice baked cheese soufle nor the lobster thermador was up to the usual standard."
