A perennial favourite since the 1990s – Tom Lewis’s boutique hotel near Rob Roy’s grave in the Trossachs wins rave reviews for the “delightful” meals prepared with produce grown or foraged on the property. Marysia Paszkowska heads the kitchen, while the Lewises also run a local bakery, a motel and a chippie under the Mhor banner.
With its “very calming surroundings at the end of a 3-mile track” – a “superb setting on the side of Loch Voil” – Tom Lewis’s “highly recommended” boutique hotel in the Trossachs has been a firm favourite for more than 20 years. “Fine cooking” is prepared by executive chef Marysia Paszkowska, using ingredients grown onsite or sourced and foraged in the locality, and the result is “delightful”.
“Just the perfect place for romance”; way out in the Trossachs National Park, and “looking out on snow-capped mountains”, this “small farmstead”-turned “pleasant, relaxing country hotel” is a “simply magical” spot for “locally sourced”, “quite classically cooked” grub. “Exquisite. Not much more to say... just go there”.
A “romantic getaway six miles up a single-track road to nowhere”, in the Trossachs National Park; with its “brilliant” locally sourced cuisine and “charming service”, it’s “definitely worth a detour”.
