Harden's survey result
Summary
This “fabulous” veteran of vegan cuisine in Manchester pleases all-comers – “I don’t miss meat at all when I’m eating here, the food’s that tasty” – and has its origins in a Gujarati grocery store in Ashton more than 50 years ago, when PG Sachdev and his wife Lilawat (Lily) started selling homemade snacks and sweets to families watching Indian films at the cinema across the road. Several expansions later, it’s a slick modern operation run by their grandchildren.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
