Great name! An “excellent neighbourhood restaurant” and – by day – bakery (tucked away “in a former bathroom showroom”) in Queen’s Park that opened in early 2025 and which has been instantly hailed in our annual diners’ poll for its “very good value for money”. Its owner is Coco di Mama founder Daniel Land whose PR and TikTok savvy has already dragged in many of the newspaper critics, earning a dissing from The Standard’s David Ellis, but strong votes of approval from The Times’s Giles Coren and The Observer’s Jay Rayner. Top Menu Tip – “Fritto misto is quite unexpectedly delicious in a marvellously light batter; a perfect Crab tart and Home-smoked trout are all on the money. It would be rude not to try the desserts and they too are superb, particularly the Madeleines”.
