2025 Review: For “really tasty Indian food” – the usual suspects, plus slightly more exotic fare such as duck masala – head to this 200-year-old brick inn, which won nothing but praise this year for its cooking, but also its “exceptional” service (recalling the theme song from ‘Cheers’, this is “the place where they know your name!”). The “only slight issue is busy roads on both sides” (the A49 and A51, which bypass the village of Tarporley right outside) but once inside “you can’t really hear them”.
