Harden's survey result
Launched a decade ago to inject some London gastropub style into the local market, this laidback joint – a nice bar at the front, and dining rooms to the rear – continues to please with its “generally good” Kent- and Sussex-sourced grub.
“A bit more grungy and laid-back than the slew of yummy mummy joints you find everywhere else here” – and none the worse for it – this ramshackle joint is “more like a country food pub than one in town”; solid marks, too, for its “tasty” and “good value” cuisine.
