A veteran on Manchester’s Curry Mile (est. 1991) – this “reliable” outfit has a crowd-pleasing menu of Indian/Pakistani street food and charcoal-singed dishes (including “lamb chops to die for”), best washed down either with one of the numerous craft beers or their funky twisted cocktails.

“Miles ahead of your average curry”, this veteran (est. 1991) on Rusholme’s Curry Mile attracts extravagant praise for its “street food and charcoal pit dishes”. “The menu changes subtly at regular (as yet unidentified) intervals, but pani puri are always excellent” and the “gunpowder fries are positively addictive”.

“Head and shoulders above the usual Rusholme curry house” – this highly rated destination “feels a million miles away from its neighbours” (although “it could do with a bit of a revamp”) and is arguably “the best place on the Curry Mile!” It serves “a gorgeous range of street food” and dishes from the charcoal pit (“go for the lamb chops”).
