Overlooking the riverside terrace at Somerset House: a Syrian cafe, deli, and restaurant in founded by the amiable and expertly self-promoting Imad Alarnab. It will offer authentic Syrian cuisine using produce imported directly from Syria, with dishes inspired by the fourteen provinces of Syria, such as Zaatar croissants and Maarouk donuts.

"An unusual Syrian-focused restaurant in Somerset House. Some familiar dishes mixed with the more exactly. most done well. "
"Fabulous, fresh Syrian cuisine at Somerset House with delightful service. The pistachio yogurt dessert with poached pear and chocolate is SUBLIME and while all the dishes were exquisite and simple but beautifully served they also seemed to be healthy! The only downside is the awkward setting within Somerset House with compact dining areas and, during our visit, loud music emanating from the pop up bar outside, the waitress kindly shut the windows which helped but the ambience was not as relaxed as it could be. Somerset House should address this, not the restaurant's fault."
"Aram at Somerset House is another wonderful offering by Syrian refugee restaurateur, Imad Al Arnab. You can just pop in for a plate of hummus and falafel or a bowl of delicious soup and hand baked pitta bread. The menu is extended to include larger plates also available at Imad’s Syrian Kitchen. To finish off Aram has a delicious selection of cakes and pastries, coffee and fresh mint tea. "
