“Handy… especially when other places are shut!” – these “round-the-clock” diners have grown from their SW10 base (which has been around for yonks) to bring their late-night formula of “decent food, a good vibe, friendly service and dependable value” to ever-more ’hoods: recent additions include sites in Euston and Clapham. Only Chelsea, Bloomsbury and Aldgate are actually 24/7.

“Open 24/7” – the stalwart SW10 original “has been there forever, and is still the same old reliable standby at all hours”: “it’s a simple menu, but what they do, they do well”. In recent years it’s spawned a number of spin offs – WC1 in particular “has a large turnover and is reasonably priced”.

“Very handy for early hours refuelling” – particularly the venerable SW10 original of these late night diners, which has provided “great all-day breakfasts” (and all night ones) and “service with a smile” since the ’80s.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
