Henry Harris and James McCulloch (trading as Harcourt Inns) are on a roll with their pub-conversion concept; it’s just been announced that a fourth venue is being developed (to join The Coach, The Hero of Maida and Three Cranes), this time in Chiswick. The last pub of any ambition to open in downtown Chiswick was Gordon Ramsay’s The Devonshire: let’s hope they can do better than that: they certainly have a good start with some gorgeous premises in the shape of Chiswick’s late Victorian police station (complete with charming back courtyard), which until recently traded as Carvosso’s (RIP).
