Summary

Limited but promising feedback so far on this August 2022, Mayfair newcomer – the first UK outpost of an Aussie-based chain – which aims to deliver ‘what it says on the tin’, with USDA steaks and Wagyu MB5 from Australian farms, as well as Prussian Black cuts from Finland. Early reports say “if steak is your thing then you will not do much better”, and speak of “very friendly staff” and an “enjoyable” overall experience.

Summary

This August 2022 newcomer in Mayfair is the steakhouse chain’s twelfth internationally. South African Bradley Michael started the business ‘down under’ in Oz 35 years ago. Here, the focus is on Australian and British beef ‘energised by Afro-centric flavours and cooking techniques’.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
