Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
For a “cheap ’n’ cheerful” steak, most reporters do commend these Hawksmoor-lite spin-offs as a “fun” and affordable option (including for brunch). But while “it’s a decent standard of food, nothing is out-of-the-ordinary”.
For a “reliable and solid” meat-fest, fans commend these Hawksmoor-lite spin-offs, also tipped for a “great brunch” and for “going the extra mile for kids”. Even supporters can say they are “not exciting” though, and critics say: “I really, really, really want to love it, but I find the food and menu disappointing”.
“First class” steaks and “cool” styling win fans for these Hawksmoor-lite spin-offs, which now have a Stoke Newington branch as well as the Clerkenwell original; “prices add up quickly” however, results can be “unspectacular”, and – while “edgy” – the decor is a tad “functional”.
