Summary

A stone’s throw from Piccadilly Circus (next to Brasserie Zédel) this American-style steakhouse is praised by fans for its “delicious food and courteous service”. Supporters similarly find the setting “wonderfully relaxed and luxurious”, but it’s a massive space, and – to a minority – “great steak is let down by the ambience of the huge dining hall”.

Summary

This Danish-owned, American-style steakhouse, occupying a “massive basement” near Piccadilly Circus, divides opinion. To fans, it’s an “awesome” place full of “old-fashioned” qualities. Critics, though, complain of “very disappointing beef, cooked merely adequately”, “highly overpriced wine” and “dire surroundings”.

Summary

Despite its prime location (off Piccadilly Circus), "lovely" gilded interior and "great bar", this huge subterranean steakhouse (next to Brasserie Zedel) has never really made waves and "though it avoids harsh critiques and is well-rated by those who patronise it" attracts few reports. It can't be doing so badly though - its Danish owners are said to be looking at sites in both the City and Mayfair.

Summary

No-one doubts the quality of the meat at this “swanky” steakhouse, “deep underground” near Piccadilly Circus; it’s so “overpriced” it can seem “average” however, and the “cavernous” interior is “too large” and “brash”.
