Summary

Vietnam meets Japan at this “buzzy” outfit in an “attractive townhouse off Charlotte Street” in Fitzrovia. Chef Ian Pengelly’s “delicious and mostly authentic food” combines with “attentive service” for “a wonderful experience that’s hard not to enjoy”.

Summary

This modern Vietnamese/Japanese mashup occupies the decadent and vibey Fitzrovia townhouse vacated by Bam-Bou (RIP), and though feedback is still quite limited, its enthusiastic small fanclub says it’s beginning to live up both to its predecessor and to the extensive hype at launch. Top Tip – “Saturday bottomless brunch, with a high-end Vietnamese twist”.

Food OK but not the best Vietnamese availab...

"Food OK but not the best Vietnamese available. The restaurant was cold on a winter evening and the service was indescribably poor. Staff spent most of their time on their mobile phones, we had to ask repeatedly for a jug of water rather than just glasses and the waiter arbitrarily decided when only one of us had arrived that the wine could not be left at the table until more guests turned up! Really?"
