“Refined Vietnamese food”“with clean, fresh flavours” – is showcased at this three-year-old South Ken flagship of former Hakkasan chef Jeff Tan, who also owns Viet Food in Chinatown. Top Tip – “the weekend lunch menu is a steal for the quality”.

“Superb Vietnamese food”“diverse, delicious and really refined” – is on the menu at this yearling from Jeff Tan, the ex-Hakkasan owner of Soho’s Viet Food. One cavil: the “very plain surroundings” mean it’s “lacking in atmosphere”.

For 31 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Food left impressions of being cooked in advance and became stale – spring rolls, for instance. Meet balls in pho were of the same stale state. Pho itself lack fragrancy. Was quite a long wait for being served. A bit dark and gloomy interior. "
