“Imaginative and tasty cooking” of a “very high quality”, taking its cue from modern pan-Asian cuisines, wins steadily high ratings for chef Mitz Vora (ex-Palomar) at his Fitzrovia four-year-old, and service is generally “fast and friendly” too. Only one negative: the “very tight seating arrangements”.

“Different flavours” from an “original” menu of eclectic inspiration win enthusiastic (if slightly limited) feedback for ex-Palomar chef Mitz Vora’s “warm and friendly” Fitzrovia two-year-old (which avoided a repeat of last year’s uneven feedback in the current survey).

“Buzzing with energy and wonderful, eclectic food” – that’s the dominant view on ex-Palomar chef Mitz Vora’s Fitzrovia venue, which serves “an enticing, really interesting and unusual menu” combining myriad influences, and where there’s the option of eating at the counter by the open kitchen. Ratings would be even higher, were it not for a couple of disappointing reports.

For 30 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
