Owner's description

Absolutely charmingly unique, the Bellaria Restaurant and Wine Bar in London’s upmarket Fitzrovia is a must for those tired of the same old dining experience. From street level, Bellaria is quite simple — a pleasant, attractive Italian restaurant with an inviting atmosphere, bright and simple décor and the best seats of the house in daylight hours are by the wide windows where one can watch the world go by. However, a few steps below and guests are transported to a whole other world. Bellaria’s basement level truly is straight out of an ancient fairytale, its bare stone walls with their arches, nooks and crannies complemented by chandeliers and trickster mirrors, low lighting casting a golden glow. It’s the ideal setting for romance and a real surprise to everyone who discovers it.
Bellaria is also ideal for private parties were, once lost in the atmosphere of the romantic cellar you would be able to enjoy a unique private dining experience with our fully dedicated team and extraordinary authentic Italian Food.
Our philosophy on cooking is simple, based on quality and seasonal produce with minimum fuss. All our meats are free range and, where possible, organic. Our fish are line caught and from sustainable sources. Our Italian ingredients such as salami, cheeses, olive oil and balsamic vinegars are all imported directly from Italy.
Good food is a right not a luxury.

"One of the best Italian restaurant in the UK" awarded by the Italian Chamber of commerce and industry.

"From street level Bellaria looks like a simple Italian restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The best seats in the house are by the wide windows where you can sit and watch the world go by. However, a few steps below and guests are transported to a whole other world. Bellaria’s basement is straight out of a fairytale – its bare stone walls, with their arches, nooks and crannies complemented by chandeliers, mirrors, and low lighting, enhance the atmospheric ambience. It is the ideal setting for romance and a real surprise to everyone who discovers it. Sophisticated and contemporary, our menu makes good use of authentic Italian ingredients to produce elegant and creative dishes ranging from pastas and risottos to steaks and fish."
