“The new head chef has kicked the kitchen up several levels” at this “rocking” two-year-old in a Vauxhall railway arch (at 60m long, its claim-to-fame is as London’s longest restaurant). “From oysters to lobster burger and chateaubriand, this arch now stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the grand brasseries of the West End” (well, nearly!).
A “hipster” railway arch near Vauxhall tube (at 60m long, it claims to be London’s longest restaurant) houses this funky yearling. It serves a versatile array of brasserie dishes, plus cocktails, with top billing going to the “American style brunch”.
“A much needed addition to Vauxhall”, say fans of this “unlikely debut in the railway arches” praised for its brasserie fare (including an “excellent value brunch”); it’s pricey though, the space can feel “confined”, and service in particular is a “work in progress”. (NB – if you do go, “just make sure go into the right arch and not one of the fetish clubs by mistake!”)
