This “fantastically reliable spot for homemade pasta and Tuscan staples” on a Chelsea corner celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and is arguably “either a relic or a classic… or maybe just a restaurant that knows what it is good at”. “Relaxed and informal”, with “friendly staff under the command of the wonderful Paz”“it’s an easy place to dine on your own”. “Another plus is that practically the whole menu is also available as tapas/small dishes”.

This “fun” Tuscan tapas bar on a Chelsea corner is, say fans, “everything a local Italian should be”, and celebrates its 30th anniversary next year. “It knows what it’s good at and does it very, very well”“though not exceptional, it’s reasonably priced for SW3; and always relaxed and informal”.

This “welcoming neighbourhood spot” on a Chelsea corner “won’t win awards – but it won’t let you down” with its “reliably tasty” Tuscan cooking. “The only downside is if you go late, the noise level is high.”

It’s “nice to sit under the canopy on a summer’s evening”, even if it “can be crowded and noisy”, at this “well-established neighbourhood Italian”, on a prominent Chelsea corner site. An early exponent of serving Italian food tapas-style, it still wins praise for its “reasonable prices” and dependable standards.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Much better food than in previous visits, some dishes like polpette were really delicious. A plus is that practically the whole food menue is also available as tapas / small dishes. As always relaxed and informal but in our last visit very noisy. "
