“A more-than-welcome addition to Battersea Rise, with a Continental-style vibe” that opened in April 2023 (a revamp of the “small”, 35-cover site that Tommy Kempson and chef Matt Harris used to run the as a branch of their Brixton-based ‘Other Side Fried’). The eclectic menu is short but interesting, and accompanied by a selection of low-intervention vintages. “Grab a seat by the window to watch the world go by whilst enjoying delicious plates of food” – crumpet with lamb and anchovy is a prime example – plus a small-but-good wine list.

"Nice and buzzy on a Friday night. A couple of dishes sensational (madeleine with mushroom, duck liver tart) although several of them were awkward to share, as is the concept. If you’re going to have natural wines it would be great if they were marked. "
