Summary
Off the beaten track, in a shopping parade near Dulwich College, this “very traditional brasserie” was opened a year ago by “the guys behind The Oystermen, seafood royalty of Covent Garden”, in a surprise move that avoided the danger of being typecast. It has “a very strong vibe of a good neighbourhood restaurant serving solid local fare” – prawn cocktail, lamb, ox cheek – “it’s not food to blow your socks off, but it’s not intended to”.
